Mr. Gennadiy Borisov brings more than 16 years of cross industry research, development and managerial experience to his current position of Vice President, Advanced Products Group at MTV Networks. Prior to the current position Gennadiy held positions of Sr. Director of New Technologies at MTVN and Director of Digital Media Products and Services at the MTVi Group working with MTV.com, VH1.com, Sonicnet.com, Country.com and more than 26 International properties as well as other properties of VIACOM delivering to the multitude of online and offline properties worldwide. As a key member of the IS&T (Information Systems and Technology) and Interactive Business Development organizations he is involved in day-to-day activities at MTVN and Viacom Digital Media, analysis of Trusted Computing Initiative efforts, many of company-wide business and technology evaluation projects as well as strategic product and partner development. He has been helping MTV Networks to negotiate and implement some of the largest content and technology driven deals, achieve multimillion dollar savings and bring new products to market.

The range of projects and responsibilities include product evaluation and testing, management of the internal R&D group, management of domestic and international third-party technology and business partnerships, contract negotiations, business model analysis, design and implementation of new business models and technologies and improving existing mechanisms allowing MTV Networks to protect and monetize its their existing media assets worldwide. He is a member of the group which supports and produces projects such as various Live and On-Demand events worldwide (including domestic and international MTV Video Music Awards 2000/2001/2002/2003, VH1 Music Awards, Yahoo Internet Music Live 2000, Fantasy Camp 2000, European Music Awards 2000 and a variety of other events in US, Europe and Latin America), design and implementation of various value-added services (reporting, advertising, Digital Rights Management and etc.), delivery of media to the broad range of wireless and wired devices, designing new products and services around existing and new technologies for Media and Entertainment industries as well as conducting research in the areas of Interactive Entertainment, P2P networks, Copyright Protection and Secure Content Delivery.
