Before joining Loudeye, Mr. Cavins led the growth of Exodus Communications and served as Senior Vice President of North American Sales. He was responsible for the growth and management of over $850 million in annualized revenue at Exodus. He built and led Exodus' enterprise sales organization, a team that was responsible for corporate accounts such as Microsoft, Washington Mutual, Visa, American Airlines, Merrill Lynch, MetLife plus Yahoo!, Ebay, Google and Overture Services.

Before he joined Exodus, Mr. Cavins served as CEO of CSI Digital, an advanced technology development and services firm serving the entertainment industry. He served as CEO of the company from 1991 until 1998. CSI Digital developed and integrated 3D visual effects, synthetic imagery, compositing and editing technologies for the entertainment industry worldwide. The company's clients included Sony Pictures, Rainmaker Digital, Digital Domain the creator of "The Fifth Element", "True Lies" and "Titanic", Centropolis Entertainment, makers of "Independance Day" and "Godzilla", Tippett Studios, the firm which created "Starship Troopers" plus Santa Barbara Studios, makers of "American Werewolf in Paris" and "Star Trek, The Next Generation".

Mr. Cavins also spent 8 years as an engineer and sales executive with Sony Broadcast, a division of Sony that developed large scale solutions for network television, movie studios and the post production industry.
