Goldstuck is responsible for overseeing the business operations of the company’s music labels: the RCA Music Group, including RCA Records, J Records, Arista Records; the Zomba Label group which incorporates Jive Records, LaFace Records and So So Def Records; as well as the RCA Victor Group. Most recently, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of the RCA Music Group. BMG is home to superstar acts Usher, OutKast, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters, Britney Spears, Luther Vandross, Sarah McLachlan, Rod Stewart, Avril Lavigne, The Strokes and Velvet Revolver among many others.
Goldstuck’s professional journey began in his native South Africa. His love of freedom and music brought him to the United States where he first settled in New York. In 1988, he went to Los Angeles joining music publisher Warner/Chappell Music where he spent five years – by the end of his term there he had assumed responsibility for their Latin American division. From there, he joined Capitol Records in 1993, rising to the position of Executive Vice President, handling virtually every aspect of the label’s day to day business. 1998 saw his move back to New York to become Executive Vice President/General Manager of Arista Records. Goldstuck then left with Clive Davis in 2000 to form J Records LLC, a joint venture with BMG. At the end of 2002, BMG purchased their interest in J Records merging J and RCA Records to form the RCA Music Group. In February 2004, Goldstuck assumed his current role.
Throughout his career, Goldstuck has actively participated in philanthropic and social causes. He is an active board member of both the City of Hope Children’s Hospital Foundation and the T.J. Martell Foundation. He is also a vice chair of the Entertainment, Media & Communications Division of UJA – Federation, and was the recipient of their Music Visionary Award in 2003.
