Ozzie Osborne, as Vice President, Segment Management, IBM Pervasive
Computing Division, is driving the portfolio requirements and end-to-end
solutions for IBM’s key market segments including enterprise, service
provider and device-led businesses.
Prior to assuming his current position in February 2002, Osborne was the
general manager of IBM Voice Systems, responsible for directing the
research, development, finance, marketing, sales and strategy for IBM’s
human interface technologies. He was named one of the top ten most
influential leaders in the speech market last year by SpeechTek Magazine.
Osborne was also an integral member of the team responsible for the
development and release of the PC/AT and PC LANs, and subsequently held many
positions in the IBM PC Division, including vice president of system
strategy, responsible for system architecture, software strategy, new
business development and key alliances; general manager for IBM PC
commercial desktop and general manager for Valuepoint Systems. Osborne was
also responsible for the Asia Pacific South region and has executed many
programming assignments in the development of operating systems and
manufacturing process systems.
Osborne received his bachelor of science in mathematics from the Florida
Institute of Technology. He is on the Board of Directors of the Rinker
School of Business, Palm Beach Atlantic College, and is the senior location
executive for IBM Boca Raton.
