Bo Mendenhall is a Principal Information Security Analyst and Architect for Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University Of Utah Health Sciences Center (UUHSC) and is managing the technical group tasked with HIPAA Security Rule compliance and key associated measures. Bo has spent a total of eight years in the health care industry, the last three of which have been spent working towards securing the UUHSC's informational assets including network infrastructure, host based security, database and web security, and security incident response. The clinical, academic and research areas of the UUHSC have provided a high level of exposure to many different technologies and systems creating unique opportunities to implement and learn about the many different facets of education and business.
Bo is a graduate of the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business where he earned his bachelors degree in Information Systems. He currently serves as the Membership Director for the Salt Lake Chapter of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA).
