Steve Nicolle
President and CEO
Tatara Systems
Steve Nicolle brings more than 18 years of communications industry leadership experience to his role as president and CEO of Tatara Systems. He is responsible for the overall business leadership and strategic direction of Tatara.

Prior to Tatara, Steve was the president and CEO of Sigma Systems Group, now a part of Liberate Technologies. Under Steve's leadership, Sigma established itself as the recognized leading provider of global service management solutions to cable service providers. The company achieved more than 60 percent market share with top-tier customers, including Comcast, Cox, Rogers, Shaw, @NetHome Japan and AT&T Broadband. Sigma was backed by investments from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Cisco Systems. In August of 2002, Steve completed the strategic sale of Sigma to Liberate Technologies at a market premium.

Prior to assuming his position at Sigma, Steve spent 16 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Nortel Networks. Most recently, he was the president of Nortel's Service Provider eBusiness Solutions group - a business unit he founded in 1997. As the president of this business, Steve was responsible for an organization with more than 1,000 employees and $100+ million annual revenue. Steve began his career at Nortel in 1985 as an employee of the company's Bell Northern Research division.

Steve completed his Executive Marketing Program from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He received his Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.
