Dr. Pilgrim is instrumental in developing product management strategies, strategic alliances, and innovative products and solutions for 3e Technologies International. He participates in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) working groups, and the Institute for Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) by serving on technical committees, The Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) and the IEEE Computer Communications Society. Jim has held such positions as Division Vice President overseeing Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Product Management. He was the principal engineer for Alcatel (formerly Xylan) responsible for designing the IT-21 (ISNS) network initiative for the US Navy which is currently installed on 260 US Navy combatant vessels today. Dr. Pilgrim’s last position was that of Chief Technologist for Alcatel Internetworking Division, where he promoted new products to industry and gave critical insight to the company on those products. Jim has been published in a number of IEEE and SPIE publications as well as many technical conference proceedings, and monthly periodicals. He is featured in many articles and papers including articles from the Gartner Group, The Meta Group, Forrester Research, Network World, Communications Systems Design and Investors Business Daily. Dr. Pilgrim holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University, a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from San Diego State University, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
