Strix Systems' Access/One Network is composed of 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth Network Nodes that don't need a hard-wired Ethernet connection. Instead, the Network Nodes communicate via a wireless mesh to each other and ultimately to the corporate network. Distributed mesh topology eliminates a centralized failure point or bottleneck and provides a self-organizing and self-healing network. This results in a wireless system that is quick to deploy and requires minimal human intervention to manage.
Network Nodes are composed of tiny interchangeable modules, which are literally smaller than a PDA. The entire wireless system is managed via a centralized web-based GUI, called Manager/One. The site planning tool, Architect/One, is used by VARs to predict Node placement and RF coverage in a given floor plan layout.
Strix Systems' Access/One Network is the only viable option for any building where running Ethernet cables is difficult, time-consuming and costly.
