Dr. Jack H. Winters is Chief Scientist at Motia, Inc., where he is involved with smart antennas for wireless systems. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1981 and was then with AT&T in the research area for more than 20 years. At AT&T, he was Division Manager of the Wireless
Systems Research Division of AT&T Labs-Research. He is a Fellow of the IEEE, an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer for both the IEEE Communications and the Vehicular Technology Societies, Area Editor for Transmission
Systems for the IEEE Transactions on Communications, and a New Jersey Inventor of the Year for 2001.
