Jung Yee, chief technology 0fficer at IceFyre Semiconductor and
one of IceFyre's founders, has over 18 years experience in research and
development in the electronics industry. Most recently, Mr. Yee held
senior design and management positions at Philsar Semiconductor and
Conexant Systems. He is an authority on wireless systems, including
WLAN/802.11-HiperLan2, BLUETOOTH-802.15, MMDS-LMDS/802.16, CDMA/IS95,
CDPD, TDMA/IS56, and AMPS/IS3. Mr. Yee is the former chairman of the
IEEE 802.16 MAC task group.
Previously, Mr. Yee held a series of increasingly senior positions at
CAE Electronics, Bell Northern Research, Nortel Networks, Newbridge
Networks and Alcatel. He has actively served on wireless standards
bodies, including IEEE 802, ETSI/BRAN, ITU, and Industry Canada. Mr. Yee
is the holder of key patents in LMDS modem design.
Mr. Yee holds a bachelor of applied science degree in electrical
engineering from the University of British Columbia.
