David Boardman is founder and principal. David led and developed Hewlett-Packard's software development consulting practice to a $30 million business before leaving HP in 2002 to dedicate his efforts to mobile and Wi-Fi applications. Leveraging the first downtown Wi-Fi zone in the US in Athens, Georgia, he brought together industry and the University of Georgia to launch the Mobile Media Consortium in 2003. The Consortium includes industry partners such as Intel, McDonalds, BelAir Networks, iAnywhere, Hewlett-Packard, Appforge, and Executrain as well as the academic New Media Institute. The Consortium develops ground-breaking research in real world applications of mobile media as well as serving as a focal point for innovation and networking in industry. David holds a masters degree in computer science from Purdue University. David serves on the board of advisors of the Wireless Technology Forum with other leaders from Intel, Microsoft, BellSouth, Nokia, and others.
