Mr. Daniel J. Dahle is a Sr. Strategic Architect in Intel's Corporate Technology Group. He leads a cross-functional team chartered with enabling anytime, anywhere computing and communications in mobile networks including Wi-Fi (802.11) hotspots, WiMax and cellular networks, addressing security, authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) for safer, simpler seamless access for mobile clients. In previous assignments Dan worked on network industry infrastructure: network processor architectures, network management, and IP Telephony. He is active in wireless and roaming industry groups, and is Intel's alternate representative on the Wi-Fi Alliance Board of Directors.
Before joining Intel, Mr. Dahle ran his own marketing consulting company. He worked with Nortel, Tektronix, Trimble Navigation, and other high-tech companies. Before that, Mr. Dahle held management positions in worldwide sales, product management and business development at AT&T.
A licensed professional engineer, Dahle holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Material Science & Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, as well as an MBA from Indiana University. Mr. Dahle has spoken at a number of conferences on such topics as removing barriers from today's networks, policy based network management systems, and WLAN and WWAN convergence.
