Dr. Paul Goransson

Dr. Paul Goransson founded Meetinghouse in 1988 and co-founded Qosnetics in 1996. At Qosnetics, Goransson directed the development of IP-based conformance verification and performance stressing tools. He oversaw the development of a system that offered the capability to act as a traffic intermediary for effecting quality of service (QoS) characteristics, including propagation delay, packet loss, jitter, latency and congestion. Meetinghouse was formed to concentrate on the emerging area of standards-based wired and wireless network solutions. Dr. Goransson served as president of both corporations until the 1999 acquisition of Qosnetics by Hewlett-Packard at which point he held a senior management role within HP and then its subsidiary Agilent Technologies. Prior to this, Paul held various management positions in GTE Telenet where he was responsible for significant international projects in Latin America. In September of 2001, Dr. Goransson returned to Meetinghouse and current! ly serves as its president. Dr. Goransson holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of New Hampshire. Dr. Goransson has over twenty years in addressing network protocols and security.
