Shawn Sweeney

Shawn brings over 23 years of technical experience in the data communications industry to Chantry. He is responsible for the strategic positioning and promotion of the company's suite of WLAN products. Prior to joining Chantry, Shawn was with WLAN start-up Legra Systems. Previously, he was Director of Field Operations at Allegro Networks where he drove initial market acceptance and trial of the industry-first MultiRouter System (MRS) for carrier edge routing. As Director of Systems Engineering for RiverDelta Networks (later acquired by Motorola), Shawn was responsible for the initial trial deployments and sales of the company's Carrier-Class Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS). He's held similar management positions at Packet Engines and Bay Networks (the combined entity of Wellfleet and Synoptics). He began his career with a 14-year stint at Motorola Codex, a leader in transmission, statistical multiplexing, and network management. Shawn graduated Summa Cum Laude from Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island and is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).
